Green is cozy, calm and a comforting colour, it can refresh a new energy in the home. We are already seeing a large amount of homewares on the market in all different shades of green and since the pandemic, there has been a drive to reconnect with the natural outside world of green.

Sculptural and curved furniture is also a trend with mid-century inspired design. Sculptural and curved furniture subconsciously reads as safe, friendly, and inviting. Soft corners and angles in furniture as well as architecture is going to be a big trend in 2022.

Adding texture to spaces will give you more depth, a lot of people are exploring pattern jute, rush and abaca in 2022 for a rug to expand the neutral foundation of a room. Mixing up fabrics will also give good texture, such as cushions, bedspreads or even a textured couch.

Since the pandemic, working from home has become increasing popular. Most spare bedrooms have become a home office space, which makes sense as it is in a quiet area of your home. Opt for colours that promote calm and concentration, such as subtle blues, greens and neutrals, and keep decoration to a minimum to stay focused. You could also include wall art, open shelving, plants and a fun rug to create an enjoyable space to work.

Leather is a classic trend that hasn’t disappeared, whether is it faux or real, this material can instantly elevate an interior. Leather can be styled either with a natural colour or make a statement with a bold colours, the versatility is immense. Leather will bring a luxurious touch to sophisticated and tasteful interiors.
